Subject: Increasing pressure on the Yarsan community after the war between Israel and the Islamic Republic of Iran

The Yarsans are followers of the Yar religion. They are a population of several million people who live in Iran, mainly in Kermanshah province.

The Yarsan Democratic Organization has obtained news from various sources indicating the arrest and threat of punishment of several Yarsan citizens. These sources have also informed us that the Yarsan region in Kermanshah province is witnessing a heavy presence of regime security forces. Many citizens are subjected to arbitrary interrogations and arrests without any reason.

The situation in these areas is very worrying. The Yarsan Democratic Organization calls on you and other responsible and human rights organizations to take the necessary measures to investigate the harassment and oppression being inflicted on the citizens of Yarsan by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The citizens of Yarsan are constantly exposed to widespread discrimination by the Islamic Republic of Iran. This discrimination applies to all personal and social matters, including participation in political affairs, the right to participate in decision-making bodies, teaching their native language, the labor market, obtaining government jobs, free education, performing religious duties, and so on.

It should be noted that the Yari religion, as a minority religion, has not received equal rights with other minorities, in accordance with Article 13 of Chapter 1 of the Constitution.

A little about the Yarsan Democratic Organization, this organization is a political organization based in Europe that fights for the political, cultural, and social rights of the people of Yarsan. We are an independent organization and our struggles are peaceful.

Addressing the violated rights of the Yarsan people in Iran is very important in implementing social justice and respecting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and we call on the international community to pay attention to this case.
