This is a message from inside prison, in the words of Naser Bakrzadeh, a 26 year-old Kurdish citizen, who, according to human rights reports, has been denied access to a lawyer and family visits. Also, Yaqoub Karimpour, a 43 year old Turkish citizen from the Yarsan community, married and a law graduate from Maragheh University. According to reports from the Iran Human Rights Organization and Mizan News Agency, affiliated with the regime’s judiciary, Yaqoub Karimpour and Naser Bakrzadeh were executed this morning, on 2st may , on charges of spying for Israel. The report does not specify where the executions took place, but it appears they were carried out in Urmia Central Prison. According to the Iran Human Rights Organization’s 2025 annual execution report, at least 13 people were executed in the past year on charges related to espionage. It is important to note that after the protests in the month of Dey, and during the period of war and ceasefire, 24 people have been executed in Iran in just the past month by court order.
